Back in Poza Rica
Tuesday morning i headed off to Poza Rica for divisions with the Zone Leaders. I spent the day with Elder Gordon- it was a fun day. He´s one of the most happy guys here in the mission. We worked hard visiting a lot of less actives and had fun. I got to visit an family from my old ward in poza rica. They had gotten baptized right before i got to the area so i worked with them a lot as recent converts. They were so much fun- they were the ones that i saw at the temple last saturday.
Lost-One Companion
Wednesday I went to the other side of town and did divisions with the zone leader from the other zone in posa, Elder Porter. He´s a cool guy and we had a good time pretty much knocking doors all day. We ate a good lunch and afterwards it started to rain a bit. We started hiking up a hill looking for a house and it started raining harder. We got pretty soaked. We found about 3 people that seemed interested and taught one of them. Haha, it was pretty funny, we were riding a bus and Elder Porter told me to hurry and get off, so once i get to the bottom of the stairs, the bus starts moving, so what do i do? I jump off. The funny part is that my comp stayed on the bus as it took off down the road. It was a funny situation. Luckily the bus didn´t get too far before my comp was able to get off. Thursday I got to Tampico at about 1 after a 5 hour long bus ride. I was tired. We worked in our area and visited less active families and our investigators. Nothing too special happened. We haven´t met with Jonathan since monday, i hope we see him sometime soon.
I Ate Too Much!
Friday after leaving the offices we ate, knocked doors, delivered a book of mormon, taught sergio (a boy that is going to get baptized) then later met with an hermana who is going to help us find more less actives. Afterwards we went to a noche de hogar (FHE) and ate dinner. I ate entirely too much that day- They made me eat another hamburger and 2 tostadas more than i wanted. It´s a good thing i could go out and play soccer and basketball today to work it all off.
Cardinal Fan?
Thats too bad about the cardinals. On monday when we were waiting for our food, the replays of the fourth quarter came on and it looked like we were sooo close- that would have been cool to win it. I think i would have been more upset if i was actually a cardinals fan. Wow, i´m going to be home to see the end of baseball season and the playoffs. Crazy!
Crazy Week Ahead! :)
Who knows if there was anything else i wanted to say or ask. Maybe if i think of something i´ll send it. This next week is going to be crazy and tiresome- i´m going to do divisins in Victoria, Valles, and with 2 zone leaders here in tampico. Leaving my area a lot makes the time and the transfer go by really quick. Its weird to think that i´ve already been here 3 weeks! I love you lots and pray that everything continues to go well for you. Bye

Everything is Great!
Everything is going great here in Tampico! This last week was a bit different from normal, but it was all good. I already told you that we were going to be driving for president to the other cities here in the mission for zone conference, and that´s what we did! But Sunday was my first day in our chapel with our ward. We have the building to ourselves, it is small and different, but nice. I didn´t really get to know many people, but its a nice place. That night we passed numbers and talked to all the zone leaders.
Poza Rica Zone Conference
Monday like normal we started in the offices taking care of our duties, and at about 1 o clock we helped President pack up his van and headed off for Poza Rica. I drove for a little over an hour and a half. It was weird to be driving period, let alone driving on a mexican highway! But it went well, the road wasn´t the best but we got through it. We got to Poza Rica and it turned out that the President didn´t want to stay in the best western, and a room opened up in a nicer hotel, so me and my companion got to stay in a hotel room that night! it was nice to sleep in a good bed again. Tuesday we woke up and took a taxi to the stake center. It was weird to be in that part of town again after being there about 5 months ago. There were so many new missionaries and elders i didn´t know, but it was good to meet them and talk with the other elders. Zone conference was good, i only sat in on the training but the zone leaders did a good job. At about 3 we headed back to Tampico.
Tampico Zone Conference
Wednesday was zone conference in Tampico. It was pretty much the same, just with different and more elders. Afterwards we had an appointment with some new investigators, Jonathan and Fransisco. They are both friends of an awesome member family here in the ward. I think both are going through problems and want something more from life. They are really sincere, but have a lot to learn. I´m feeling good about them. I think i forgot to tell you, but last week they both received priesthood blessings from us along with 4 members of the family. It was a good experience.
Victoria Zone Conference
Thursday after eating a Subway lunch we headed off for Victoria Zone Conference. I drove about half of the way there, but the highway was much nicer. When we got there it was a little rainy and cold- we were not prepared. But later we borrowed some sweaters from the zone leaders and were set. We visited a really nice member from my companions old ward and ate. I think the Victoria zone conference was my favorite- Zona Valles was there too, so i got to see everyone from my old zone, along with a lot of other friends who were there in Victoria. It was nice.
What An Awsome Day!
Today was awesome. We went to play soccer at the stake center right next to the temple. There were a bunch of buses in front which means that people from out of town made an excursion to the temple. I asked a little boy where he was from and which wards were there and it turned out that camacho (my ward from Poza Rica was there) First some of the youth came out and i talked to them. They told me that not many people from the ward came- that kind of bummed me out. but later i talked to some of the members i got to know from other wards and talked to the bishop of the vegas ward and my old bishop. Later some recent converts from my old area showed up- Andrea and Narda. When i was there they moved to a different ward, but had also came to do baptisms for the dead. It was fun to see eveyone and talk to them. Later while i was playing soccer a sister from Cañada yelled my name and motioned me over. i was really suprised to see her. She was my favorite hermana from that ward, Hna. Margarita- 2 of her daughters were baptized right before i got there and the other one, Ana, got baptized while i was serving there. It turns out she had just received her endowments! i was kind of flustered though- i had just talked to the elders from cañada on wednesday and they didn´t tell me anything about it! They only told me the daughters were going to do baptisms in the temple on thursday. Oh well- i´m happy for the hermana. I think we´ll drop by her house later today. Today we also had an appointment with Jonathan. He is really interested and told us he wants to be a member- we put a baptismal date with him for the 21st of Febuary! The only thing is that he really has no knowlege of religion whatsoever, so there will be a lot of teaching and learning going on in these next three weeks. I am excited.
Anoter Great Week! :)
Things are going well. I did get that package- the carmel corn was a little stale, but i still eat it. Thanks for the pics and the calendar- i liked it a lot. I had already gotten that christmas book last year, but thanks anyways. Mom did i get money from you in my account? we were cleaning the other day and my companion accidentally threw away my belt because he thought it was garbage. I think that´s a signal that i need an new belt. I also ripped the butt of a pair of pants kicking around a soccer ball. School starts the 24th huh? A whole week after i get home. . . fun. . . Overall it has been a great week. Next week i´m going down to Poza Rica again to do divisions with the Zone leaders down there. It should be fun. Well, i love you lots, stay safe and enjoy life.

Busy, Busy, Busy!
Everyone told me getting here that the first and last week are the busiest here in the offices. I got to experience that this past week. I like life here and am having a great time. So much has gone on this week and it has all kind of mushed together. I can´t really remember every detail, but if one thing wasn´t happening, it was another. Last sunday we went to a stake conference and heard from Richard G. Scott and Thomas S. Monson via satelite. They were some great talks. Later I kind of followed elder morgan (the old assistant) with his mom while he said goodbye to some of the families here. Later we came to the offices to receive all the numbers from the zone leaders and later call all the zones to tell them their tranfers. We ended up getting home at about 12.
