Answer to the Immigration Incident
Answering your questions- We should carry around a copy of our passport and visa. Some elders were never given a copy and others just lose theirs or don´t carry them around. Here in the offices they keep all the passports and visas, but at times the visas are sent to Mexico city to be renewed after a year. The problem with last monday was that the immigration officials at the bus station were not being very fair/cooperative/nice. At immigration they were asking for another form. We think they had it out for us, but after that there were no problems at all. The only other instance of this was when the old assistant elder morgan was traveling back to tampico after divisions, they stopped the bus and checked eveyone for their identification. Elde morgan didn´t have his and they took him to immigration. But if one has copies of their passport and visa they will be fine. I´ve always had mine with me, but have never needed them.
